WoW Upgrades - The item upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item upgrader kit has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of button, which will display a preview of the item upgrader mod at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item level Upgrade slot and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item upgrader mod is upgraded to a certain degree, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Crests

Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment you have and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan on making. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
