The best way to do it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. When the sensor is operational, it should be reading approximately 1000 ohms. 2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at a high speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was like the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were soaked with gasoline and the 4th was dry. I put a piece of tissue over each hole in the injector and when i start the engine without sparks, the ones with gazoline jump right out. The 4th one stays shut. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 I get zero ohm. I think the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it runs fine with the G28 plugged in. However the intermittent misfire issue still occurs at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature of that is -49c even after unplugging it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars when the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not certain what to do, but i feel i have pretty much ruled out everything else. But i am afraid I might have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please let me know! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
