Path of Exile Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of a variety of items in Path of Exile. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

Rare-grade equipment can be superior to the more modernized Common or Magic equipment due to their high demands.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item that they are connected to. Upgrades to armor are available in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Alternatively, they can also be rescued from items with upgrade components in them using a specialist or more powerful salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. Upgrading a piece of armor to maximum upgrade level will increase its ability to absorb damage. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it should be heavier.

There are several different types of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct effect. Certain upgrades give armor an additional number of health points, while others make it lighter and more powerful. The type of armor upgrade that an item level upgrade can get will be indicated by the name of the upgrade as illustrated in the table below.

However it is only possible to replace one jewel in an item level upgrade of equipment only once.

It is common to use more gems for aesthetic reasons. The jewels can also enhance performance and make an outer layer that is more durable than metal so that repeated friction from pivots does not cause damage to them.

In addition to the above upgrades players can also obtain glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These glyphs offer a small boost in power and can be exchanged, however they're not guaranteed to appear as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold, and also a scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Trinkets
