How to Replace an audi remote key G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor

If this sensor fails, the ECU will display a P00160 code which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are not in sync and could indicate the chain stretching or a jump link on the upper chain of timing. The code won't show without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).
Testing is a bit tricky because there are two connector pins and they perform different functions but the most effective method to test it is to measure the resistance between the sensor and the ECU. It should read approximately 1000 ohms if the sensor is operating at its maximum. Check for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have issues with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at full speed I noticed a significant reduction in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs. Three were drenched in gazoline, the fourth was dry. I put tissue over each hole in the injector and when i turn the engine on without sparks, the ones with gazoline jump out. The 4th one stays closed. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 i get zero ohm. Therefore, i think the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset PID but without success. The car is able to start if the G28 is unplugged and runs fine when it is connected however it has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for the coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature value of -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not sure what to do, i feel i have pretty much ruled out everything else. But i'm worried that i might have missed something. Let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal by the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is identical to the G4 and both are used in the 80, 100 200, UrS and RS2 cars which is why you can easily locate one at a salvage yard or from a parts store.
