Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

The Item Level Upgrade (Qooh.Me) upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item upgrading used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.
