Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is an item that will make certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a photo disc. It's sometimes given as a prize during Pokemon GO events.

Infusions are used in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, while enhancements are utilized for certain ascended back items. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are inserted into an item upgrader, however doing so can destroy the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias Enchantments, insignias, and upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components added to an equipment piece will be visible in the tooltip of the item upgrader kit.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements like ligatures, ornaments, fractions and swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and view these special characters, along with regular symbols like em and en dashes, as well in registered trademark symbols.

Each Glyph gives a primary stat boost for the character. It also comes with up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost that is multiplied by other bonuses, except for Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will open a window that shows the Glyphs available to you. You only need to apply the correct Glyph to the selected item. Each weapon or jewelry piece has a different collection of Glyphs.

You can upgrade your Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon is, the more Glyph experience you will gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded via the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

Once a Glyph has reached the desired level you can activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will offer its stated bonus and will also boost the other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs in the best locations to benefit your build, and that is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs can also provide double bonuses in the event that certain conditions are fulfilled.

Click the cycle widget to alter the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by selecting an option under "Entire Font". For example, punctuation is only displayed in punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limits the selection to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process by which you create a brand new account to give yourself more opportunities to access the character or weapon you are interested in. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit by being upgraded to boost their performance even more. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
