Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling a variety of floor types. Select models that allow users to select between different modes, self-empty and clean stairs.

Many of the best robot vacuum that mops models integrate with your smartphone. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar for navigation and creates maps of rooms and floors.

When I tested the S1, it was able to identify our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them, and was able to cross thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a great job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it reached carpet or carpet.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be cleaned, although this can vary based on how much you use the mop.

The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to just dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station whenever required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the most filthy areas well, and eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping power is enhanced by an additional side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.

Its navigation is smart that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can go from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. This is useful for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a wide space between obstacles. This can lead to missing spots.

The app's interface is intuitive and easy to use. It should be simple to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, alter mopping and suction power settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and more. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested did not show issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it did not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising because it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
