Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates manufactures and distributes a variety of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses, school buses, cargo buses, and shuttles.

GreenPower Motor Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and can be adapted to meet a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a simple sheet of paper, which allows for the best placement of the battery pack and a lower center of gravity. This results in better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was developed for green mobility power Scooters, zenwriting.net, mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4 have a single interior wall structure, and higher insulation than traditional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. We had the chance to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth on bumps and ruts, and the EV9 is a master of reducing wind and power electric scooter road noise on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly fast and the car has adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by simply lifting the accelerator.

The EV9 provides a large range and can be charged in three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode focuses on torque, cruise control and Mobility Power handling while sport mode maximizes speed. GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested in Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA compliant. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
