Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The statistics of an item are improved through upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment increases the stats linearly.

Players can recycle six items at a time to gain a gauge for each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items increases with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the effectiveness of your weapons and armor. This can be achieved in a variety of ways through the use of upgrade item (recommended site) components or increasing the rarity of an item or its mark level. Many items can also be reforged to boost their value.

Upgradable items can be found in the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Upgrade components are the most common method to upgrade equipment. These are the items that slot into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and Upgrade item many require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while other components offer an overall bonus.

There are a variety of upgrade components available in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, can be put on any type of equipment and provide smaller bonuses than upgrades for specific equipment. Glyphs can only be found in gathering tools. They offer a range of bonuses, from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to providing additional crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. The window will show an overview on the right side of the screen, showing the expected stats after the upgrade, and any required components or materials. The number of upgrade components required for a given item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the rarity and level of the item. However, you can reduce this cost by purchasing upgrades from a merchant, or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune, or an insignia. Some can be enhanced with the suffix. These upgrades add an adjective to the item's name for upgrade item example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a powerful tool for communicating visual information. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger curiosity in the brain. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language and makes them more effective in communicating the message of a language barrier. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph has a set of values that it can enhance a stat according to the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This range is not the exact amount at the glyph can increase a stat, but the maximum amount by which it is able to do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the product you are enchanting it to.

The majority of upgrade components that are slotted into items can't be repaired or replaced without dismantling the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been applied to the gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove a glyph from an item then you'll need to salvage it with an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item on which the glyph is located will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be retrieved by removing the glyph fragments.

If you take an item off after adding a glyph the shards from the glyph will vanish. You can also place a glyph on your equipment to increase its value. For instance, the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and deal it slowly instead of all at once. This can be helpful for players who are taking lots of damage from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to alter the affixes of weapons and other equipment. They can be obtained from a variety of sources, including mystery boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Each reroll token gives players a new random affix that is usually superior to the original. Reroll tokens are also a good method to reroll the stats of a weapon and can be upgraded to increase damage or perks.

Rerolled items don't appear in the menu of upgrade options, but they can still be upgraded. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to be selected to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the item's rarity and its own level, so items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.

In addition to reroll tokens, players can use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the weapon traits of an upgraded unit. Players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's better to let people pay for it with cash or food items that would allow them to make changes to their builds without having to spend excessive amounts of time. However, paid rerolls are not something that the developers would like to implement at this point in the game's development. They are planning to add an ingredient that allows players to change their race in the future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to upgrade an item. The most effective method to level up an item upgrade is by increasing the amount of upgrade. This boosts the value of upgrading any stat. The second is to increase the effect of upgrading which increases the healing or damage of a given stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. Once this is done the new item will maintain its iLevel but it will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded item type.

When you upgrade items it is essential to keep in mind that upgrades are random. In the majority of cases, a better roll is based on the glyphs.
