World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to make stronger versions of the equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic.
